The PhD in Nursing & Healthcare Innovation degree is offered both on-campus and using virtual educational technology for distance learners. There are two entry pathways are available for this degree: BS-PhD and a MS-PhD.
The PhD degree in Nursing & Healthcare Innovation is designed for scholars who wish to pursue careers as leaders in health policy, education and research. The degree will also help to address a national need for faculty and researchers who are increasingly in short supply.
PhD students benefit from a highly individualized program which emphasizes strong faculty mentorship. The College of Nursing and Health Innovation maintains/supports research intensive centers including, the Center for Improving Health Outcomes in Children, Teens, and Families, Center for Healthy Outcomes in Aging, the Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence, and the Center for Healthy Lifestyles.
